Although copy appears in the Footer Text box it doesn't show up on the website itself.  I bought the URL yesterday and the only thing I've done that's different with this site is that I deleted all of the Links.

Sorry, but I don't know if the footer showed up before I deleted the links.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

let me check that I’m following you, you bought a website and then you installed WP Flex on it and you deleted the blogroll? If the text that you inserted in the footer text field it could be that the theme is not installed properly? I’ve just tested it on my test sites and it’s working so try and install the theme again. Also, let me know if I wasn’t following what you were saying :)

OK.  I deleted then re-installed WP Flex 3.0 multi custom and still have the same problem.  I think it's specific to this website because the theme is working perfectly on other sites I've built.

And, yes, after installing WP Flex I deleted all of the links because I'm trying to follow StevenR's Stealth Blogger Advanced to the letter.  I'm sure you know him from E1KAD.

Anyway, on one of his videos he deletes all of the links.  So even though I have absolutley no idea why he suggested deleting the links, I did that too.

Now, the copy I'm talking about is what's automatically installed in the footer:

<br/>Site content Copyright © 2010 – My Domain Name – All Rights Reserved

Although it shows up in the “Footer Text” box (with the real domain name, of course), when I take a look at the site it's a blank.

The resolution may be as simple as adding back one of the seven blogroll links that I deleted.  Think that will fix it?  And, if so, do you have any idea which link I should copy and paste from another one of my sites?

Thanks.

It's not the Links – I added them all back, one by one, with the settings that show up on anothe wp site.

The footer still shows the background but does not show any text (and the footer text color is set to black).

Steve, I assume that the links you are referring to are the blogroll which of course you should delete the standard default blogroll because they all lead to wp sites (unless of course your site is about WP).

The footer is working fine for me and you on all sites except this one so it seems to indicate that:

1) you may need to clear your cache
2) problem with wp install
3) problem with theme install
4) plugin incompatability
5) maybe your background color and font color are the same?

Thanks Leanne.  I got it working.

For some reason the footer background type was set to both (I don't recall changing it).  After changing it to color everything now looks as it should.
